I had a promotional offer, but I was turned away because "we no longer have that offer." Yet the website clearly stated it was valid at that store. It seems the Subway locations in downtown Poitiers have always been mediocre...

⭐☆☆☆☆ It all starts with this door. A door you have to push with all your might to get in, one that doesn't even close by itself, and that you have to close collectively with the other customers or risk getting a dirty look from the staff. I still wonder what the point is of keeping the door closed in the middle of summer, without air conditioning, just to enjoy the smell of the oven inside... I thought that would be the only minor inconvenience. I was far from imagining what was to come. I order a Steak & Cheese Supreme: "Sorry, the oven is broken, unavailable today." Well, these things happen. So I opt for a Pastrami Deli. At that point, the tone changes immediately: "It's a Signature! The vegetables cannot be changed." The message is delivered like a military order. Fine, I comply. When we get to the vegetable counter, surprise: there isn't even any salad left. The rules, so strict, suddenly seem to become very flexible when the restaurant runs out of ingredients... And the best part is yet to come. Once the sandwich was wrapped, a fresh tray of salad was immediately brought. I simply asked, very politely, if it would be possible to add a little more before leaving. The answer: no. The sandwich was sealed, so it couldn't be reopened. It wasn't the salad that bothered me; it was the impression that the rules changed according to the restaurant's mood. Any personalization was refused because "that's the rule," but when ingredients were unavailable, those same rules vanished. And when all it took was adding a simple lettuce leaf that arrived thirty seconds later, it suddenly became impossible. I wasn't trying to get anything for free or make anyone's job more difficult. I simply wanted to eat a properly prepared sandwich and be treated with a modicum of common sense and consideration. Very disappointing.
