One-third of the boxes were full! Several of us students have noticed a problem (which has gradually worsened) with the portion sizes of the CROUS & GO meals at the Rabelais student restaurant (evening meals) (this problem doesn't exist at the Gemini student restaurant...). It's all well and good to help students by offering meals for €1, but what's the point if this reform drastically reduces the portion sizes? I've attached two photos of the meal I received today as an example. Please forward this complaint to the Rabelais student restaurant. Thank you in advance, Sincerely

Calorie-free, less than 0. Just like the joy these meals bring, thankfully the pizza vending machine saves the day, run, you poor fool!

This restaurant is the epitome of the best that France has to offer! The Crous has never disappointed me; every lunchtime they offer a delicious surprise for ONLY €1 (€3.30 for non-scholarship students).

The cashiers were extremely unpleasant, taking out their bad energy on others for no reason. It's outrageous!

The vegetarian section is almost never accessible quickly, due to a service bottleneck. Sometimes it's busy, but more often than not you have to wait in line for 30 minutes for your order to be served in 30 seconds... a shame because otherwise the food is good. It's difficult to get out of the queue once you're served... they just have an issue with the placement of the service points, but perhaps they don't have enough space. I would still recommend it for those who don't eat enough vegetables during the week.

I do not recommend this university restaurant. Every time we want a dish, it's never available. We're forced to order something else, which is often very unpleasant, tasteless, or seasoned with bizarre spices. The cooking is inconsistent, both for meat and starches. The service is extremely slow, often resulting in a 30-minute wait before being served. There are food stations that are supposed to offer a variety of options, but they all serve the same dishes. Furthermore, the dishes are never displayed or match the descriptions provided.

came here with low expectations. which dropped even further as we approached the building. the decomposing hamburger painted on the wall didn’t exactly scream "welcome." right away, it felt like there was a discrimination between french students and everyone else. i saw french students walking away with trays full of food and desserts, while by the time we reached the buffet, all that was left were some sad, half-melted chocolate puddings and tired-looking fruit. i ended up arguing with the staff a few times over what i was allowed to take. apparently, you're not allowed to choose freely or get a second portion of something you actually like. unless you want to pay extra. having to pay more for a refill of mediocre food feels a bit insulting, especially when the attitude from the staff was anything but polite. the food itself was mushy, overly heavy, and just not the kind of thing you want to eat in 40°C heat. vegetables were always either drowning in salt or covered in pepper. options were limited and got repetitive fast. and let’s talk about the “petit pain”. a tiny bread roll that lived up to its name only in the sense that it was a “little pain” to eat. to top it off, the very first day, i grabbed a mustard packet only to discover it was expired. thankfully, i only had to endure this place for a week. my sympathies to the students who eat at this purée box day after day.

Feasibility Report for the University Cafeteria's Application for "Seed Competitor" in the Human Queueing Endurance Championship "I solemnly recommend your cafeteria for the three major world awards in culinary behavioral art: 🥇 **Best Time Black Hole Simulation Award** Every lunchtime queue isn't a queue, but a realistic interpretation of *Waiting for Godot*. While you advance linearly according to Newton's laws, some alumni who have mastered the plot of *Interstellar* are already making dimensional jumps through the back door. Suggestion: stick a sign "Wormhole Usage Fee: €2/passage" at the teleportation point. 🥈 **Anthropological Observatory of Ultra-Close Human Contact** The clattering of trays constitutes the most honest form of communication. Vegetarians stuck in the crowd practice a form of "sabotage" with three or more strangers." "Focus breathing at 15 cm" in the meat section. Tip: Keep your tray at a 26° angle above your chin to avoid becoming a food mat for those who "step back for two seconds to grab an appetizer." 🥉 **Best Training Center for Delayed Collective Satisfaction** Forty minutes is all it takes to read the first volume of *War and Peace* or watch queue-jumpers insert themselves with an absurd "my friend is ahead," sporting a "I belong here" expression. Advice: When the line collapses into a nebula, whisper "That's life" and pray there are still desserts left. **Survival Rules:** ▫️ Before 11:45 a.m., become Jason Bourne and explore the secret passages ▫️ Sacred Equation: Time² = Hunger × Blood Pressure ▫️ Ultimate philosophy: After 107 freeloaders, the canteen embodies pure existentialism.

The Ru is full and difficult to access around 12:30 p.m., especially at the beginning of the week, the atmosphere is very noisy. But meals (for scholarship holders) are 1 euro or around 3 euros for non-scholarship holders. The quality of the meals remains decent for the prices. The staff is very friendly.
