The oldest inn in Poitiers, with celebrity dedications on the walls. A youthful atmosphere, as the clientele is mostly students from the regional conservatory.

A wonderful experience, a calm and pleasant atmosphere, and quick service. I had already visited in 2021, and I'm just as satisfied! The appetizers and main course were very good and plentiful; however, we would have preferred smaller, less greasy portions to leave room for dessert.

A delight from start to finish! The cocktail of the month was just perfect for a hot summer day. A delicious appetizer to share. Main courses with original flavors and smooth accompaniments. Succulent desserts (the chocolate mousse was a huge hit 🤤). All decorated with edible flowers. Each dish is generous and has its own little extra touch that makes all the difference! A pleasure for both the eyes and the palate. And to complete the experience, the waiter is incredibly attentive. An excellent spot in Poitiers. It was perfect for our bachelor/bachelorette party!

I had a wonderful evening at Auberge Chez Cul de Paille. The place is unique: a medieval building with walls covered in artists' signatures, creating a warm and historic atmosphere. The food is generous, creative, and well-prepared. Excellent value for money at this authentic restaurant. I highly recommend it!

The terrace was perfect for a small group of 6, offering a private and intimate setting. However, the people smoking right next door were less than ideal! Also, the dessert wasn't enough for 6 people!

It's an incredible atmosphere, steeped in history and memories. The ambiance is warm (and even though it's not air-conditioned, the place stays cool) and the decor is rich (the walls are covered in autographs). But that's not the best part. The cuisine is incredibly sophisticated and superbly executed. There's a chef and a team. As the dishes change very regularly, I won't go into detail, but the cooking is masterful, the ingredients are showcased beautifully. It's generous and visually stunning. My dish cost €17 (duck breast). And the service is professional and friendly. Truly, it's one of the best restaurants in Poitiers, on par with the Archives. Go and let yourself be carried away by the chef's confident, bold, and original inspirations.
